WHAT IS AN ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST?

An Oral Health Therapist is a new and valuable member of the dental team. It is somebody who has been trained as both a dental hygienist and a dental therapist.

This allows the therapist to perform the duties of a hygienist as well as place fillings in primary (first) and permanent teeth as well as extractions.
